Shortcomingsinthesepointscanresultinfalsereadings,
interruptionoflinesortheruinofpick-uplinesandsensors.
Thesensorsarefurnishedbythesupplierwiththe
pick-uplinesof2m(6.5foot)length,butcanbe
extendedtothemax.lengthof4m(13.1foot).
ThermocouplesN iCrNi(typeK)mustbeextendedwithNiCrNi
thermocoupleextensioncableonly.
Connectionsmustbesolderedandinsulated,preferably
byashrinktube.

Neverestablishtheconnectionsbyclamping,otherwisethere
isadangeroffalsereadingsduetothehighercontactresistance.
NiCrNithermocouplecablesareavailableinaspecialiststore
orfromyourlocalBombardier-Rotaxdealer.
Allothersensorscanbeextendedwithasuitablestrandedcopper
wire.
Whileinstallingthesensors,alwaysbear
inmindthatyouaredealingwith
measuringdevices,andhandlethese
sensitivecomponentscarefully.
